British Nightlife and Entertainment

The United Kingdom with it’s modern multi-cultural diversity and western values sets world standards in theatre, films, television, music and fashion. London is a city they say that never sleeps, The West End as famous for shows as Broadway New York. British beer and the public houses that serve it are world famous. Modern legislation has enabled them to be open all day. They are never more than a stones throw away any where in the UK. Often they have live entertainment, both in the cities or in remote country inns where traditional folk music may be heard. Night clubs cater for all tastes and ages being particularly popular in the North of England. Restaurants in recent years have borrowed heavily from both continental and eastern influences. This has improved both the variety and style of places available such that the local “Indian Restaurant/Curry House” is now as much part of the UK culture as “Fish and Chips”. It has recently been claimed that London is the food capital of the world, but all of the UK cities and towns have the recipe, and menu of opportunities, for, “The Big Night Out”.
